Here's what's included...

Each month join a live session online with Speech Pathologist, Cathryn.

You'll learn about an early communication topic, have opportunities to ask questions and share ideas with other educators.

See upcoming topics here. The session is run twice in the month with the same topic, to allow you to join mid-week (Tues 10am) or Sunday (7:30pm).


Strategies in Practice Videos
Regular inspiration and professional learning

Different children interested in the same play experience will have different communication skills. You'll learn how you can adapt conversations in the experience to meet different children's communication needs and boost their language skills and engagement.

There are two new 5 minute videos uploaded each month, and you will have access to all previous videos.

Early Communication Toolkit
Support and recommendations for individual children

Use this tool when you have a specific child you want to help. Answer a few questions about the child's communication and you will receive:
  • Strategies to support that child's communication
  • Related professional learning
  • Ideas about partnering with the family
  • Planning and reflection supports
Speed session modules
Learn the base strategies to support different types of communicators

Use this resource when you want communication strategies for a particular type of communicator. For example, sort to find strategies to help a child who is:
  • having difficulty understanding information
  • shy and not communicating much
  • bilingual
  • showing traits of Autism

Absolutely! The workshops will bring a different perspective on your practice and give you an opportunity to connect with other passionate educators.

All of our workshops have a Q+A component and so specific questions you have on the topic can be answered.

We will cover a different communication topic each month and so if there is a topic you would like to know more about, let us know and we could look at running a session on this.

Yes, we'd love to support you. This membership will help you on three levels:

  • 1. Broaden your knowledge about early communication through workshops and speed sessions.
  • 2. Help you work out strategies to support individual children in your room with communication difficulties with Early Communication Toolkit
  • 3. Help you develop a framework for describing early communication in a strengths-based, parent friendly way

Yes. All of the recommended strategies promote child-led interactions that can take place in small groups or in short 1:1 conversations, e.g. during a nappy change. Examples throughout workshops and the speed session explainer clips are based around the early learning environment.

Yes, you are in exactly the right spot! All of the resources have been designed to support early communication from no words up to children using sentences that five words long or less, e.g. “My no want little dinosaur”.

The resources within the membership are designed to help you support children with communication delays or differences.

The Early Communication Toolkit, Strategies in Practice videos and Speed Sessions are all focussed on supporting children who are using sentences that five words long or less, e.g. “My no want little dinosaur”.

The workshop topics are broader and will be applicable to children with more language.

Yes. There is 1 hour per month of live professional development hours, and then you can earn 20 minutes per speed session, plan and reflection you complete for a child.

Email [email protected] to receive a certificate showing your accumulated professional development hours. Please note, we require 48 hours notice.

You can use as much or as little of the membership as you like to learn what you need.

  • Monthly workshops are typically an hour long.
  • Strategies in Practice videos are around 5 minutes each.
  • Using the toolkit to support a specific child will take 5-10 minutes for the initial survey, then 10 minutes to learn and plan to use the first strategy. See the toolkit page for more details on how this works.

It's $29 per month. You can cancel anytime and the next payment will not be deducted.

On the day of that you subscribed you'll be charged for the level subscription you are on. You will be charged on the same date each month or each year depending on your subscription. Your account will always show when the next payment will be coming out.

National Quality Standards - QA1 - Educational program and practice, QA5 - Relationships with children. Some professional learning will also support around QA6 - Collaborative partnerships with families.
